What Inspired the 'You & Me'

French for "You and Me", the Toi et Moi ring can easily be considered one of the most romantic designs, taking two stones and harmoniously putting them together representing two souls becoming one.

The You & Me ring is our AR twist on the traditional Toi et Moi ring.

Where Exactly Did the You & Me Ring Come From?

The Toi et Moi ring was first mentioned in jewelry history in the late 18th century. Napoleon Bonaparte gave this kind of ring to his first wife, Joséphine de Beauharnais, featuring a sapphire and white diamond.

This classic ring design has made appearances throughout history. John F. Kennedy gave an emerald and diamond Toi et Moi to Jackie, which she famously redesigned with larger and even more elegant marquise shaped diamonds.

Toi et Moi rings still have a presence in modern day jewelry. Ariana Grande wears a diamond and pearl, Emily Ratajowski was proposed to with square and pear shaped diamonds, and Solange Knowles with an art deco ring.
