The "speckledness" of this salt and pepper diamond is like a tiny, frozen map of the earth from billions of years ago. While most diamonds are prized for being clear, this stone is special because it proudly shows off its "birthmarks" - heavy clusters of black carbon and minerals like graphite that got trapped inside while the diamond was forming.
